Did you know? Mughal royals sometimes wore pearls and gemstones in several long layers reaching almost to the waist. These spectacular haars weren’t just jewelry—the rarer the stones and more lavish the layers, the more clearly they proclaimed power, privilege, and a place close to the throne.
Haar-e-Shahi — The Jewel of the Darbar
From the Shahi Khazana emerges the Haar-e-Shahi—layer upon layer of golden strands, pearls and precious stones gathered around a magnificent pendant.
Once adorning Maharanis, Begums and Shahzadis at weddings and grand mehfils, such haars were treasured as symbols of shaan-o-shaukat, lineage and prosperity. Passed from mother to daughter, they became more than jewels—they became amanat, carrying the memory and splendour of generations.
